After my wife and I purchased our Shepherd mix, around the 6 month mark it became clear that we were going to need some exterior help training! After looking at multiple trainers we settled on Copper Ridge because of a great consultation experience. The training was excellent and comprehensive. The trainers were great to get along with and worked with us as well as the dog which definitely made a difference. The uniqueness of the day training was something that proved to be part of an outstanding experience. We cannot say/thank/compliment Copper Ridge enough for their efforts and expertise. I truly believe that we could not have gotten the same outcome without them and honestly think it will create such a more enjoyable experience with our dog. That combined with the post training support makes Copper Ridge a premier training group in Dane county. We definitely recommend you reach out to Copper Ridge for your dogs training, it could very well be the best decision you make aside from getting a dog! Woof.

We worked with Copper Ridge for a 4-week day training program with our dog Clark. With the day training schedule, Clark learned basic skills and addressed behaviors with the trainers, and the trainers taught us before we went home. When we came home, it was much easier to apply the skills we learned when Clark had already learned them. This significantly reduced the frustration of learning how to train a dog. Be ready to learn just as much as your dog! Dog training is a life-long commitment! At the end of the four weeks, Clark had reliable 'place' and 'heel' commands. He also learned how to calmly lay down in a car, how to use an ecollar, and the start of a solid recall. With the base Copper Ridge laid, Clark can now reliably recall, even in distracting situations. This makes hikes a lot more fun!

Our dog, Grotto, trained with Allison and Chloe at Copper Ridge in July of 2022. He struggled with reactivity and being very over excited. We still work on his commands daily, but he has made such amazing progress and that is because of the foundation Allison and Chloe were able to lay for him. Allison & Chloe are both so kind and helpful. He loved going to "school" everyday and we love the monthly group walks! He is more calm in our house, loves his kennel, and is much more enjoyable to walk. Highly recommend Copper Ridge!

Our training experience was excellent! I highly recommend Copper Ridge Dog Training. The staff was kind, friendly, patient and incredibly knowledgeable. I would absolutely do it again. Our puppy is happier with the proper training and so are we! We never would have been able to do this work on our own. Look no further, this is your place.💗

Our BIG rescue is a loving handful and at times we've been unsure we'd be able to keep him. We planned to train just him, but ended up adopting a second dog before we started with Copper Ridge. (What's the worst that could happen?!) Allison was recommended by a friend and has been fantastic at adapting our training time to meet both dogs VERY different needs (as well as our own different needs as a family). We have tried a few other training approaches over the years and by far we have made the most progress in the least time with Allison. Our walks are much more peaceful and we all understand each other much better every day. We're looking forward to continuing to work together to build on a lot of great new skills. One of the things you'll gain is confidence and motivation that you can meet your family goals with your dog. I know that's an essential ingredient. So go for it if you're thinking about it!

Dog training can be a nerve-wracking decision for many but the expertise, care, and personality from Allison and Chloe makes it an easy decision. Highly worth the value and comparable to competitors in the region, their custom approach and handling makes them a true standout. We couldn't be happier with the progress our dog Trixie is making and she has maintained her lovable, fun personality but is now equipped with better training and bonding with us. We were incredibly nervous initially around training but by the end of the first week all worries disappeared. They show the same care/love to your dog that you do and it really comes out in everything they do. Highly recommend their programs and we look forward to being lifetime customers of the community they have been building. We had a great experience with Cooper Ridge Dog Training. We adopted a rescue who needed help with jumping, building confidence, and hard mouthing. We did the four week day training program and see a huge improvement. We are very happy with the training and would highly recommend. The groundwork has been established and I'm excited to see our pup (Oscar) grow into a well mannered adult dog. Thank you Allison and Chloe.

I sought out Copper Ridge primarily for my five-year-old Terrier mix’s leash reactivity that had gotten progressively worse over the last year. I’m so glad I did. Allison and Chloe are AMAZING. In four weeks, they changed the relationship I have with my dog both on leash and in the house. I’m so grateful for their day training option. It allowed me to be part of my dog’s progress and reinforce skills she was learning each week. Would highly recommend their services for any dog parent who is struggling to work through difficult behaviors on their own. Both my dog and I feel so much more confident and in control after our time with them.

We reached out to Allison to help with our reactive dog when using positive reinforcement to train her on my own was just not working. From the first consultation we had it was clear that Allison is very knowledgeable about what she does and I felt very comfortable putting our dog’s training in her hands. We did 5 private lessons focusing on place work, recall, leash manners, and reactivity. During the lesson that we worked on her reactivity, I nearly cried when by the end of the session, she was calmly walking next to Allison’s dog and completely focusing on me or her dad, whoever was walking her. She was like a different dog and it gave me so much hope that she could overcome her reactivity with the right training. Her recall is also perfect, which is necessary for our lifestyle where she spends a lot of time off leash on hikes. I couldn’t recommend this program enough!
